A little bit about us

My love of photography began in childhood with a Kodak Brownie 127. I've been hooked ever since. I'm drawn to people more than places—unless those places have people in them!

After six years photographing weddings in the UK, I spent 15 years as an international street photographer, capturing candid, unscripted moments across the globe. My signature style is documentary and unobtrusive—fly-on-the-wall that tells the story as it unfolds, with a focus on emotion, connection, and what Henri Cartier-Bresson called "the decisive moment".

When it comes to portraiture, I’m known for dreamy, shallow-depth images and an emotive black-and-white aesthetic, although I work in colour when it enhances the story, especially at weddings. Friendly, calm, and ninja-like in approach, I put people at ease, making them laugh and relax so I can capture their truest selves.

After meeting Mariella on Twitter, and moving 10,500 miles from the UK to Australia to get married in 2024, I’m thrilled to be relaunching Torridon Photography together with her here in Australia, bringing our mutual love and creative passion to every shoot.

For me, photography is all about connection. I’ve always been deeply drawn to people—their emotions, their stories, their quirks—and I bring a warm, empathetic energy to every shoot.

I’m especially tuned in to the subtle moments that others might miss: a glance, a gesture, the way someone lights up when they laugh. As an animal lover, I have a particular soft spot for pets and know how to capture their unique personalities with patience and care.

I have a precise eye for detail and composition, and I love creating beautifully framed images that feel both effortless and intentional.

Working alongside Daniel, I bring balance and calm to our sessions, making sure everyone feels seen, comfortable, and celebrated. Together, we’re not just taking photos—we’re telling your story, frame by frame.
